Mens Wetsuit

If you enjoy water sports then you probably dread having to stop because the weather gets cooler or the water temperatures drop. If you are a guy and want to enjoy water sports year round then it is time to look at a mens wetsuit. Mens wetsuits are designed to fit comfortable and keep you warm. Wetsuits work by trapping in your body heat and creating a barrier for cold water not to touch your skin. Cold water will remove body heat 25 times faster than air. Hypothermia will set in very fast with cold water touching your skin. Do not enter water below 70 degrees without some sort of thermal protection. Wetsuits vary in thickness for different water temperatures. A 7mm suit is designed for water temperatures of 40-60 degrees. A 5mm wetsuit is designed for 60-70 degrees while a 3mm wetsuit is designed for 65-75 degrees. In extreme cold conditions of 40-60 degree water you will also need to invest in a hood, gloves, and boots. Another factor to consider is the type of physical activity that you will be doing while dressed in a wetsuit. The more movement you do the more body heat you will produce.

You can purchase wetsuits as either a full suit which covers the legs and arms or you can buy a shorty wetsuit that is often referred to as a spring wetsuit. A spring wetsuit has short sleeves and is cut off at the knees. People tend to use shorty wetsuits in the spring and fall when temperatures are typically cooler but not yet cold.
As you can see there are many types of wetsuits available and each suit is designed for varying activity and water temperature.
